國際智障人士體育聯盟Inas

國際智障人士體育聯盟由一群荷蘭的體育專業人士於1986年成立，旨在推廣運動予智障人士參與，並於1989年在瑞典海訥桑德(Harnosand)舉辦第一屆智障人士全球運動會。國際智障人士體育聯盟屬國家人權機構的國際協調委員會(ICC- NHRI)的其中一員，於1992年更成為國際殘疾人奧委會(International Paralympic Committee)的成員。

時至今日，國際智障人士體育聯盟的會員已從14個國家增加至超過70個，每年共有15項體育活動供智障人士參與，超過3500名運動員已成為註冊運動員以 參加國際級賽事。通過會員的努力，現時全球共有1億2千萬名智障人士可享受到運動所帶來的樂趣。

International Federation for sport for para-athletes with an intellectual disability (Inas, originally called INAS-FMH) was established in 1986 by professionals in the Netherlands who were involved in sport and wanted to promote the participation of athletes with intellectual disability. The 1st World Games for Athletes with an Intellectual Disability were held in Harnosand, Sweden in 1989. Inas became a member of the ICC – the International Coordinating Committee – which in 1992 became the International Paralympic Committee. Inas’ original membership was just 14 nations which have steadily grown to more than 70 nations today. Now, its sport programme includes some 15 annual events, more than 3500 athletes are registered to compete at an international level, whilst more than 120 million people with an intellectual disability worldwide have the opportunity to enjoy sport through the work of the member organisations.
