由中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會(港協暨奧委會)主辦、康樂及文化事務署資助及三星電子香港有限公司連續第二年冠名贊助的「Samsung 2014年度香港傑出運動員選舉」於 1月 10日 (星期六) 假香港文化中心舉行公眾投票記者招待會，出席的嘉賓包括港協暨奧委會義務秘書長彭冲先生 SBS、康樂及文化事務署助理署長(康樂事務)黃達明先生、冠名贊助商三星電子香港有限公司巿務總裁周文榮先生及港協暨奧委會副會長兼 Samsung 2014年度香港傑出運動員選舉籌備委員會主席劉掌珠女士BBS, JP，多位候選運動員及隊伍亦到場呼籲巿民踴躍投票。
今屆選舉共有 47個體育總會共 120個提名競逐六個獎項，其中「香港傑出運動員」、「香港傑出青少年運動員」、「香港最佳運動隊伍」及「香港最佳運動組合」四個項目將接受公眾投票。本會運動員提名如下：

投票日期為 2015年 1月 10日至 2015年 2月 9日，所有獎項結果將於 2015年 3月 16日假香港會議展覽中心大會堂舉行的「Samsung 2014年度香港傑出運動員選舉」頒獎典禮上揭曉。

Organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (the Federation) and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department together with the full support of Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. Ltd. as the Title Sponsor for the second consecutive year, a Public Voting Announcement Press Conference for “Samsung 2014 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards” (Awards) was held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 10 January 2015. Mr. PANG Chung, SBS, Hon. Secretary General of the Federation, Mr. Richard WONG Tat-ming, Assistant Director (Leisure Services), Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Mr. Lawrence CHOW, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Electronics H.K. Co. Ltd, Ms. Vivien C.C. LAU, BBS, JP, Vice President of the Federation as well as Chairperson of the Samsung 2014 Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards Organizing Committee as well as this year’s Awards nominated athletes and teams attended the Press Conference to appeal to Hong Kong public to cast their votes for their sports stars.
This year, the Federation received a total of 120 nominations from 47 National Sports Associations competing for the six awards categories, of which four categories would be opened for public voting, namely the “Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards”, “Hong Kong Junior Sports Stars Awards”, “Hong Kong Sports Stars Award for Team Only Sport”, and “Hong Kong Sports Stars Awards for Team Event”. Our nominees are:

The public could cast their votes from now until 9 February 2015. The results of these Awards would be announced in the Awards Presentation Ceremony on 16 March 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
