厄瓜多爾2015國際智障人士體育聯盟(INAS)環球運動會將於2015年9月20日至9月27日假厄瓜多爾舉行，香港智障人士體育協會將派出23名運動員參與田徑、游泳、乒乓球及賽艇共四個項目。各隊員現正進行嚴格訓練，以期奪取佳績，為港爭光。
為隆重其事，為即將遠赴厄瓜多爾的港隊打氣，香港智障人士體育協會於今日假香港體育學院舉行「厄瓜多爾2015國際智障人士體育聯盟環球運動會」香港代表團授旗典禮，由香港智障人士體育協會贊助人梁唐青儀女士親臨主禮，並邀請中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會副會長劉掌珠太平紳士致辭勉勵運動員。
香港代表團團長，香港智障人士體育協會主席陳毅宇先生致辭時指出是次比賽的地區普遍地處高原，部份地方的海拔高度更於2,600米以上，相信運動員到埗後需要時間適應。陳主席期望各運動員拿出一如概往的拼搏精神，努力克服環境上的困難，發揮出應有的水準。
香港智障人士體育協會副會長葉肇和先生感謝各位蒞臨的嘉賓為港隊運動員送上無限的支持和祝福。葉副會長亦特別鳴謝各特殊學校校長、機構負責人，家長、教練和義工，他們成就運動員實現理想的同時，亦是協會不斷發展的原動力。

Ecuador 2015 INAS Global Games will be held from 20-27 September 2015. We will send a delegation of 23 athletes to compete in athletics, swimming, table tennis and rowing.
To cheer for our delegates, we have held the Ecuador 2015 INAS Global Games Flag Presentation Ceremony for Hong Kong Delegation at Hong Kong Sports Institute today. We are very honoured to have Mrs. Regina LEUNG, our patron, as the guest of honour to officiate the ceremony and Ms. Vivien LAU, Vice-President of SF&OC to give Hong Kong Delegation an encouraging speech.
Mr. Patrick CHAN, our chairman as well as the Head of Delegation of Hong Kong Team, pointed out that our athletes might need some time for environment adaption because most of the competition venues are located in a plateau, some of the area are even above sea level up to 2,600m. He hoped the delegation could try their best in the Global Games.
Mr. David IP, Vice President of HKSAPID, thanked all the attendees for coming to cheer for the delegation. Special thanks particularly go to principals and representatives from agency members, parents, coaches and volunteers for supporting the Association and, most importantly, ID athletes to realise their sports dreams.
